Named after the historic brewer and innkeeper Pauwel Kwak, this distinctive Belgian ale is known for its deep bright amber colour and dense creamy head. It offers a mellow, fruity and malty aroma with gentle spice, earthy notes and subtle hints of banana, pineapple and mango. On the palate it begins soft and fruity, developing into a rounded, nougat-like body with touches of liquorice and a warm finish reminiscent of caramelised banana, while bitterness remains delicate and well balanced throughout.
