Brewed by Brouwerij Verhaeghe in Vichte, West Flanders, Belgium, Duchesse de Bourgogne is a Sour - Flanders Red Ale brewed in traditional style. This classic Flemish red ale is matured in oak casks, creating a smooth and richly textured beer with layers of tart fruit, subtle chocolate notes and a long, dry, acidic finish. After primary and secondary fermentation, the beer is matured in oak barrels for 18 months, then blended with younger beer to achieve its distinctive balance and depth.
